Object Maker--From the virtual to the real reality.

Create and Edit any shape you can imagine:
Import/Exports DXF, OBJ, BMP, TXT file formats
Export XYZ Locations and distance for each triangle face and point there of model obj
Generate Revolve surfaces
Generate Mesh heights from Grayscale
Extrude surfaces
Manipulate, Edit, Transform your object in many ways
Explode object into individual Faces
Edit each obj Face
Parametric Info and Editing and Export

Objects created are based on a simple yet very powerful system of layers/sides. this allows easy access to each point for editing and viewing and precise control/manipulation. Each object consists of a number of layers, and sides. Each parametric control is based on this, allowing quick access and editing. This method allows for consistency throughout the model creation process.

Quick start :

set to draw profile option

draw profile in window using mouse/clicks---you can draw up to 120 sections total

draw ea section as desired

these sections that you draw will become ea layer when you revolve

go to the revolve/settings

you can change how the object will look like from here as well, such as number of sides, layers and so fourth

up to 120 or as little a 3 sides can be chosen using the set number of points scrollbar in the revolve/settings window

click on revolve or edit petals

you should see result in window

you then can go to edit geometry from drop down menu

in edit geometry, you can select desired layer and or sides (point range) as desired for edit

you can create various transformations with the edit geometry choices window , for example move down or up
will move selected areas of object  up or down which will then result in a new shape. rotate spin and all the other choices will do the same, feel free to experiment.

you can save your creation in text file format, wave front OBJ or AutoDesk DXF format

you can retrieve what is saved in text file format.

Save/Open Project:
Options for saving your current work project for retrieval, and the export of real world data for sculpture model creation

Open project--opens project for editing
Save project--saves current project

Save XYZ info--exports the the xyz info only of model (xyzinfo.txt)
Save XYZ info--imports the the xyz info only of model (xyzinfo.txt)

Save Face info--exports the the face routing  info only of model (faceinfo.txt)

Save Face info--imports the the face routing info only of model (faceinfo.txt)

Export obj Info--Exports the model obj info as a txt file.
This info is a simple text file that can be viewed/printed out  in any txt editor.

Export obj info checkbox--check to export the obj in the objmaker2
window

Export deconstr info checkbox--check to export the obj in the deconstructed editor window

This info is the parametric info that would be needed if the model is to be created in the Real world. This info contains the XYZ info in 3d space for each triangle face. In other words this  includes the lengths of each side of the object's triangle, and  xyz 3d co-ords in real space for each corner of that triangle. This allows the cutting out and placement for creating models of the object out of wood, paper ,metal, glass or whatever material of choice--thereby creating a sculpture of what is represented in the computer.

Import/Export Obj:
Importing and Exporting wavefront objects options into objectmaker2
Import--imports wave front format object file.
Import scale amount/slider--scales up or down the object that is imported, useful since a lot of object are very small and need to be blown up to real world size.

not all obj file formats are written the same way.
in order for this to work properly the faces must be written in 3 point triangles only, if it is not it must be converted first to triangular faces using Accutrans or similar file conversion software.

Export--Exports the current obj in the window as a wave front obj file format.
This export is written with 3d points and 3d faces that are triangles only,
surface normals and materials are not included.

Export obj model as separate:  Saves ea part into its own a file

Export obj model (parts only)
Exports parts stored in a single file
Join parts option--check to join exported parts as a single obj
uncheck to keep ea part separate, but in the same file

Scale down checkbox--check for scaling the output model obj 10% of orig...helps to scale down for import into bryce5 or 6 later on for scene rendering

Import/Export as Dxf:
Options for importing and Exporting Dxf file format
objects into Objectmaker2

AutoCAD layer number--
AutoCAD layer the obj will be set to when used in AutoCAD

Dxf Color--The color the object will be. set to be whatever color. this is based on AutoCAD's color table. where each number represents a color, such as red, white, green, etc. up to 255 colors available.

Export Tri---exports the as a AutoDesk DXF file
this will create 3d Faces as triangles.--can then be imported as a 3d object into AutoCAD or 3d software that accepts this file format.
Each face is a separate object

Export dxf mesh--exports as a AutoDesk DXf file as a mesh based object. This object has all faces tied together as when imported into AutoCAD.
This object cannot be imported directly back into objectmaker2,Must explode this object in AutoCAD first, then export out from there, then it can be imported back into Objectmaker2

Import Dxf:

Import Scale--sets the amount of scaling that is done when 3d Dxf object is imported.

Import Tri.--Imports object based on dxf triangles, not for use when objects are quad based Dxf objects.

Generate Faces Checkbox.--check to auto generate faces, when importing, unchecked will bring in 3d points only.

Open/Save as Bmp:
Open and Save options for Images into and out of
Objectmaker2 for effects based gray levels

Open-
Opens a image file for grayscale based effects into objectmaker2 View/Edit window

Reconstruct/Deconstruct:

Deconstruct/Reconstruct Editor Window
This part of Objectmaker2 is where the object that is created or imported can be taken apart. This is based on each face being independent
of its neighbors, in other words each face is a separate part. This is where the object can be deconstructed and re-arranged based on
the way each face is not attached to its neighbor. Once this is done, the object can then be Exported out inf Dxf or Obj
file formats.

Deconstruct file choices:

Deconstruct file choices:

Import/Export obj-
-to access menu choices for importing and exporting the deconstructed model obj in obj file format
Import Export DXF---
to access menu choices for importing and exporting the deconstructed model obj in DXF file format
Import/Export Obj options:
Import (both faces)-
-imports obj file format obj--use when obj created by objectmaker2 since this usually consists of two triangles per face
Import (single face)--imports obj file format obj--use when obj is created by others. This will disregard the 2nd face on each side--set to 1 1 1 creating the appearance of being absent
Export--
exports deconstructed obj as obj file format.
Scale amount (import)---
scales up the imported obj--useful when obj is extremely small--to scale it up into something useful with real world size
End Layer Slider--sets max layer range to import to
Start Layer Slider--sets min layer range to import to
Above two settings are useful when larger obj is wanted---great for creating multiply copies of geometry within single obj
Export/Import Dxf options:
Export Dxf Tri--exports obj as dxf triangle faces
Import DXF triangles--
imports DXF obj file--use when faces are based on triangles

Import DXf quads--imports dxf obj--
-use when dxf obj faces are based on quads

Import Scale  slider---sets the scaling amount when obj is imported

Total Faces---shows total faces imported
